I saw this question on a mama board I frequent: Parents with two or more kids…what do you think about your family members wanting to take only one of your children at a time in order to spend time with them? do you allow relatives to regularly (I’m not talking every once in a while, [...]
I was separated from my son S-bop for extended periods 3 times during the first year of his life. It still makes me cry sometimes when I think about it. The first time was right at the very start. He was born prematurely, I actually had him at my college bookstore. We were rushed to [...]
My son S-bop age 14 and daughter I-bop age 19 talking about their cell phones. It really blows my mind sometimes that I have two teenagers! and that S-bop is now taller than I-bop. She used to carry him around. time flies ^_^
PICS: Brian and the Boy Bops hanging out. T-bop says: STOP taking pics of me today.
PICS: S-bop spent the day shoveling snow, here he is taking a break to say hi to Skittles, who watched him from various windows while he shoved the driveway, the backyard turn-around, front and back steps, and sidewalks. He is such a good and helpful son!
S-bop loves his DS so much, we had to set restrictions on it or he would play it all the time.
PIC: T-bop putting the trash can away. usually this is S-bop’s job, but he was busy carrying the laundry into the house.
PICS: Washing clothes at the laundry mat, the boys helped me. I like to hand wash and line dry our clothes, but in the deep freeze of our winters that’s not going to happen.
I’m doing a year & half of post-bacc-pre-grad too, since I’m going into a program that has naught to do with my current degree. This semester only have 2 actual classes I have to go to; I tested out the rest at a different school and they’re accepting the results as transfer credit. I’ve never [...]

I’m reading some sutras on motherhood, very interesting to me: 1. THE KINDNESS OF PROVIDING PROTECTION AND CARE WHILE THE CHILD IS IN THE WOMB The causes and conditions from accumulated kalpas grows heavy, Until in this life the child ends up in its mother’s womb. As the months pass, the five vital organs develop; [...]
I do strive continually for improvement in my mothering and housework because I don’t want to make my kids’ lives stressful. I grew up with a mom who cared so little for housecleaning, she didn’t mind if roaches crawled over her children at night. I mean just beyond grimy, so I don’t want my kids [...]
We bought in the New Year together, Brian, the kids, and I. It was nice. I love my family so much. Happy New Year! This blog entry written by Trula. Thanks for visiting Trula Kids!

I’m having baby fever…a sudden intense longing to have another baby. I know it will pass, because I truly do not want more kids. But sometimes I miss my babies as well, babies. This has been triggered by a lot of stuff. Yesterday I-bop went with me to our favorite thrift store, and then hung [...]
I got a question via email from a reader who wrote that he was raised by a feminist but he still does not understand feminism and struggles in his interactions with women. He questions what is his place as a man in feminism and wonders should he just give up and find a woman who [...]
This one is an internet dinosaur, but it is so true: Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said, “I’m tired, and it’s getting late. I think I’ll go to bed” She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day’s lunches.Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer [...]
My son S-bop is 14 and is growing like a weed. This past year, he has grown so much. He stays hungry, when he is not sleeping, he is eating. He is a grow grow grow machine. Him last year, June 2007, he’s the one in glasses. note his height next to my daughter: Here [...]
I’m making most of my gifts for extended family & friends, including quilts for each of my kids. And extended friends/family are also getting a gift certificate to my bookstore. I have 2 teenagers, ages 19 and 14, and one tween, age 11, so they like the techie stuff too. I got some great deals [...]

I-bop and her young man are pretty serious about each other, but focused on their goals. She is 19 and he is 20, and I am amazed at how mature they both are. They are both these old, wise spirits…and both kind people. and both have a work ethic like you wouldn’t believe. It just [...]
Football season is over for S-bop. He really enjoyed playing and is looking forward to playing in high school next year. At the awards ceremony the coaches talked about what a great team it was and what they have to look forward to next year. I think it’s just great that the boys got this [...]
