This is from the blog A Girl and Her Lung. I wish everyone so adamant against health care reform could/would read about her life. excerpt: I’m writing this today, not because I am out to change anyone’s mind, or because I see myself as a political activist, but because our daughter lives with an on-going, [...]
I had my daughter when I was 17 and we had hard times, including her see me get beat down by her bio dad many times. She also witnessed me have a postpartum depression breakdown in which I nearly killed her baby brother and I lost custody of him for a while. and then less [...]
You can see all my Maine 2009 pics here We went to Boothbay Harbor, Maine for our vacation this year. It’s a lovely place and we had a great time!
We had a lovely 4th of July! Happy Independence Day America
My husband and the boys hanging out on Father’s Day. It was a real nice day, they made him a big breakfast and later, after presents helped to make a great dinner for him. ^_^
S-bop on his first day of his first job, as an aide to preschool children at Safety Town!
The inside of my daughter’s car. I don’t know how she drives with all that stuff hanging dow; it would aggravate my nerves LOL. Thanks for visiting Trula Kids
Since my older son is starting high school in the fall I wanted to keep his word skills up during this summer vacation. There are a lot fo good websites out there, I found Vocaboly, it’s a vocabulary software. We’re using the free trial and so far so good. It has more than 12,000 words [...]
One of the things I love about living in a small Ohio town: the parades Brian and the boys and pulled out some chairs to the tree lawn and watched the parade go by and chatted with the neighbors. A friend of mine I hadn’t seen in a while came by and watched with us; [...]
It really, really was. I spent the day with Brian and the kids, and they made and got me such lovely gifts. T-bop made me another comic, S-bop made me a gag gift, and I-bop got me a Monster tennis ball in my favorite color, pink. Brian got me some new garden tools and a [...]
S-bop is very athletic, in the fall he plays football and in the spring he runs track. We went to a track meet, he was very happy because I-bop came. She is in college and has a job and recently moved out so we don’t get to see her that often. S-bop does the long [...]
My daughter I-bop moved today into her very first place. She wanted to be closer to the college she is transferring to. I was somewhat sad but prepared, as this was her plan all along; to stay home for school the first 2 years then move out when she transferred. Her place is very nice [...]
I-bop’s birthday is coming up in May, she will be twenty years old. I am thinking on what to give her…for sure we’re getting her books, and I’m making her something (those are standard trula kids gifts ) but I also want to give her something special to mark being 20 years old. any ideas?
We had a lovely Easter, spent the morning hanging out and talking about the pagan roots of Easter (no we are not pagans). Later went over to my in-laws. Thanks for visiting trulakids.com!
After-school pre-dinner hanging out Thanks for visiting trulakids.com!
We went to see my best friend’s new baby girl, Taylor. She is beautiful! Samira has been a wonderful friend to me, she is a warm, kind, and deeply interesting person. She has a great sense of humor and so dedicated and focused on her goals. We met at college when I went back to [...]
My sons dug trenches in the garden, laid in compost, and cleaned up the yard. They are such a big help! This pic and more also featured Family Earthprint: familyearthprint.com S-bop dug all the trenches, T-bop laid in all the compost. My big boys!
T-bop made corn sticks to take to school, it was an extra credit assignment for social studies class.
The way people are nit-picking her money use is just…wow OctoMom blew some of her hard-earned handout money on one tube of clear lip-gloss from Nordstrom, which ran the food stamp user a cool $14.50 plus tax. In comparison, a 48-pack of pampers usually runs around $16.99 that’s from here ok so now folks are [...]
Upfront this is a very graphic video of starving children but it does end well. I urge you to watch and think in your heart what you can do.
check this out from GlobalComment: Much of the media coverage regarding this event surrounds the debate as to whether or not it was medically ethical to implant eight embryos in a woman of her age, who already had six children. Though Ms. Suleman was offered the opportunity to terminate a number of the pregnancies, when [...]
I don’t think she is crazy, or a wack job, nuts, mentally ill, whatever you want to call it. I think she is a little dazed and confused and distraught and is just barely holding it in due to the fact she recently had a bunch of babies who are away from her, still in [...]
I come from a big family and prior to marrying I was a single mom who had kids with no money and job, so I am a *wee* biased. I have 8 sisters and 5 brothers, most of whom I grew up with. Um so that is 14 kids including me so I am not [...]
