The boys enjoyed their Easter! they got massive bags of candy and we sat around in the morning talking about what the candy means in terms of Easter; where it comes from and why it’s part of Christian custom. We are not Christians (or any religion) but that is my background and the religion of most people around us, so we talk about that religion most of all when we have religious discussions. It was an interesting and lively exchange!

Usually I make them Easter baskets but this year my heart wasn’t in it, because I-bop (who is grown and lives on her own) decided not to come out for Easter. sigh. It was hard for me only having two easter bags to prepare instead of three. I didn’t think the boys would mind my bootlegged gift-bags-into-easter-bags but they did. So I will make them baskets next year as is our tradition.
