To all you mothers out there. I am going to hang out and relax all day, doing absolutely no mother-related work today. No cooking, no laundry, no running around doing stuff for the kids, and definitely no housework. I’m just going to lay in bed most of the day writing on the laptop. Usually for Mother’s Day Mercury Man and the kids take me to a bookstore where I browse for hours (this is sheer delight for me) to pick my selection of books. I also need a pair of running shoes so maybe we will go pick those out too. Have a Happy Mother’s Day!

My wonderful children in the car on Mother’s day en route to Border’s bookstore. They got me a gift certificate (thanks to Mercury Man) and the boys made me a wonderful breakfast. After we went book shopping we went out to dinner and then to an ice cream shoppe. We had a great time and beat the rush! As we were leaving the ice cream place folks were lined up out the door, it was crazy. But since we got there early we were able to get a table and had a great time. It was a nice day.

Oh yeah Mercury Man also did a whole lot of housecleaning on Mother’s day! That was truly thoughtful of him because usually the day after I have more work to do around the house since I didn’t do anything on Mother’s Day.
