My daughter ibop, played Miss Gulch in the Wizard of Oz (and a munchkin and an emerald city resident). She did a fantastic job!! I am so proud of her. I was amazed at the physical transformation alone; my daughter is a slender girl, about 120ish pounds, and 5 foot 6 inches, but she managed to look like she was a shriveled up 90-pound short old woman. She did the crabby hands and tight-lipped Miss Gulch prune face and all, it was incredible! That’s acting.
The whole cast did a great job. They have been working on this play since January and I was impressed that they managed to get it all together. This is a hard play primarily because everyone has seen the movie a million times and comes with expectations and high standards. This high school cast did a pretty impressive job, and there were a few kids who have truly stellar singing voices.
You know how in the movie the same actress plays Miss Gulch and the wicked witch? Well another girl got cast as the witch, and ibop was disappointed at first, but this other girl did an amazing job as the witch, she was perfect. So ibop was glad she got the part.
After the play the cast all lined up and gave autographs, it was really cute how the little kids who came to see the play were so excited to meet them. Here she with flowers her boyfriend got her, he is such a sweetheart. He sat with us and whenever ibop came on stage he’d practically stand up and cheer, LOL.

With me! being silly. My baby girl:
