There is no “tightrope” between a woman’s rights and a “fetus’ rights”. The only feminist position is that the woman always comes before the fetus. No matter what. Every single time. Without exception. Before we discuss anything else we MUST have that established. At no point in a woman’s life should her personhood be negated. Ever.

Oh really? What about being a mother, during motherhood? Maybe I am taking this the wrong way…but I know there have been times in my life as a mother where my kids came before me. There were a few life-and-death times. Many mothers never have to come up against any life-and-death issue with a child but I believe most mothers would die for their children if it came to that. What is that but a negation of personhood?

I need to think on this some more, clarify my thoughts.

This is so very TRUE. I don’t know if I would call it hate, but I do think most men don’t feel women are ‘equal’ to them or even quite ‘human’. I wish I knew what men really think about women, because they overwhelmingly don’t behave as if women are even people.
