We are now into week 8 of the new year! Time is going so fast. I am so happy I am sticking to my fitness resolution. I think if I had put it off I would still be at 210 pounds, and probably have gained more weight in this time instead of lost. Weighed in today at 186 again, but I’m not surprised because I overate at dinner…We had pizza and tater tots, which was ok, I had one slice and a handful of tots. Then rice and seaweed, which was where I lost my head. I loooooooove rice and seaweed and I just went to town. OMG it’s so good, have mercy. Then I had to lie down on the couch, I was in agony! as I have not stuffed myself like that in nearly 2 months! I had forgotten what that feels like, and my poor stomach wasn’t used to being stretched like that anymore. My word, I will never do that again. I was very, very uncomfortable.

But it was a good reminder to me that the way I eat now is/will truly have to be a lifestyle change. I can’t go back to overeating once I get to my goal weight. Which I wasn’t planning to do, this event just underscored my resolve.

I felt ok by this morning and did 30 minutes of yoga, which got me all stretched and loose for the day. I should do yoga every morning, really. It is amazing how it makes me feel. I think doing it daily will help me to maintain my flexibility, endurance and strength.
