Man, it is crazy outside, there is no where to walk! We had so much snow!! The snowplows cleared the streets but all that snow had to go somewhere, it’s all piled on the sidewalks and treelawns, in some places taller than me! So I had to do my morning walk in the street, in the bike path. The rest of my steps will be indoors, thank you very much. I wasn’t even going to brave it out there but the kids had to go to school today, so I decided to go for a walk outdoors in solidarity.
I weighed in today the same as yesterday, 187.5. I want to hit 185.5 ASAP because then I will finally no longer be OBESE, according to the BMI calculator. For my height (5’6) 185.5 puts me right under obese and into being ‘just’ overweight. That will be a psychological boost for me, no doubt. I tell ya, stuff like this keeps me going when I want to not exercise or just overeat. I figure I can hit 185.5 by this coming Tuesday or Wednesday, especially if I go to spinning class tomorrow and Monday.
I’m adding a handful of nuts to my afternoon snack because lately I’ve been dragging and wanting to take a nap. I’m all for naps usually but as a recovered insomniac I have to guard my night-time sleeping…in bad weather I wake easily. So I’m going to skip on the afternoon nap so I can be ready for sleep by bedtime. Nuts are a good protein boost and energy surge! and though they are high in fat you just need a little, which won’t put any extra fat on you.
Going to the Y tonight and working off my dinner of stir-fried tofu
Meals Today:
Breakfast – oatmeal with pineapple (interesting…not bad, though), water
snack – carrots, water
Lunch – Tomato soup with toasted homemade wheat bread (yum yum yum), broccoli
snack – handful of pecans, bowl of raw spinach, water
Dinner – Tofu stirfry! with rice, glass of red wine, water
dessert – raw pineapple, water
and emergency carrots/celery as needed throughout day
Today’s Goals:
45 minutes elliptical
30 minutes treadmill at 4.3 mph
12,000 steps
120 oz. water
One serving meals, no seconds
No salt added to food
One serving meals, no seconds
Raw veggies/nuts for snacks
Raw fruit for dessert
Bedtime 11pm/Wakeup 7 am
Weightloss by now – 22.5 pounds
