Mama Specific Productions is seeking submissions for our second book of poems about being a mother. Mama Poems I was written entirely by Trula Breckenridge and this time we’re including more voices. The theme is still motherhood, which includes pregnancy, labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and child rearing from infancy to adulthood. We are looking for a broad spectrum of experiences on this subject. Some topics to consider include working outside the home, staying home full-time, being a student mother, postpartum depression, discipline issues, housecleaning, education, mourning a child, religion, ethnic issues, co-parenting, adoption issues, special needs/gifted children, any and everything as relates to mothering. Tell us the adventure of your mothering life in a poem!

Maximum poem length is 60 lines and not restricted to any set style of poetry. You may submit more than one poem but only one poem per writer will be accepted.

Reprints: If you’re sending us a reprint please include the last place your poem was published and include the date. Also let us know if your poem is currently available in any other online venues or publications. We are paying you for the right to print your poem in this book. You retain full rights to your poem even if it is new and can reprint it elsewhere. If you do not own the rights to your work, check with your publisher if we can reprint it.

Send poem(s) either in the body of the email or as a RTF file or MS Word attachment to trula at MSPmedia dot net
