Easy Craft Presents for Kids

My kids will be off the computer until after Christmas so I can post this LOL! One of the things I made for each of them was a piggy bank. I washed used pasta jars, punched a slot in the lid with a sharp knife (bend the knife sideways a few times so the edge won’t be jagged) and then covered the top with aluminum foil. I then painted each jar, centering on 2 sides of each jar their first initial in green paint, capitalized. Then I painted swirlies and stuff in various colors all around the big initials. Ta da! all done, easy as pie. I scrounged up $15 in change from my couch cushions, laundry, and car and gave them each $5 in change and each 5 singles. Then I cut up some cardstock and made a little tag, and punched a hole in it. I know I have thick gold string somewhere but if I can’t find it I will just recycle some gold ribbon from last year and use that to tie the card on. I haven’t decided how I will quite word the cards but it will be something about saving money.
