Has anyone read this book, The Prodigal Father: Reuniting Fathers & Their Children? It is excellent. The author did not visit or financially provide for his own son for most of his childhood but was able to re-connect with his son in his late teens. I picked it up because my older son’s father is interested in being more involved in his life and I felt a little confusion as to what to do, how to proceed since he’s been physically awol for over a decade (although he has paid child support). I’m posting it here because I know there are other mothers who visit my site with this issue. It includes a special section for mothers which I found helpful. He also has a non-profit called the The Father Project:

The Father Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reuniting fathers with their children and fostering a continued connection between fathers, mothers and children.
