Reduced Salt Intake
I did good all this week! I am so proud of myself. I did eat some potato chips twice and pretzels once this past week but I did not add any salt to any food. I bought and ate some unsalted peanuts!! I LOVE salty peanuts so much, ya’ll just don’t know. But I ate them plain and they were good, better in fact without salt! The swelling in my ankles went down somewhat but they are still puffy a little, probably due to the chips. Next week I will not eat any chips or pretzels or other salty junk food, and I’m going to try a low-sodium soy sauce for tofue stir-fry. My family loves this meal and we have it once a week on fridays, but I am going to reduce it to twice a month (we did not have it this past friday) and then in May once a month.
I do most of the cooking for my family and my husband and kids are not salt fiends like me, so all the changing around should be easy on my family.
