On my family: Iyende needs a bunch of driving hours to get her license, so I wil help her with that. I’m also gonna volunteer at all their schools, which really isn’t much, just an hour or 2 here and there but I have 3 kids at 3 different schools so the time adds up. Brian and I are trying to make an effort to spend more alone time together, too. Which I am pleased about. I also want to see my extended family more, I have siblings I haven’t seen in a while and cousins too I want to see in various parts of the country. Plus my folks, my dad is getting older and has had some health issues, I miss him and my mom. They live in Cincinnati which is only 4 hours away so we’re going to make a few trips to see them. Gas is high but I need to see my family. I’ve been writing actual letters to people in my family, and I need more time to do that.

On my biz: I am way behind in orders and get new orders daily. I really have to get caught up ASAP, hopefully I will be caught up to new/current orders by this time next week. I have friends and my brother coming over both days this weekend to help out. Another friend is coming over next Tuesday to help me get better organized and streamline my accounting systems. For some reason I have been getting a lot of phone orders, surprisingly. I also got a web design job that will consume a lot of my time, but because they need a lot of site pages and a shopping cart and all sorts of stuff, it pays a lot of money. I can’t afford to turn it down; I’m crazy behind with my student loan payments and gas bill and stuff.

Then mid-Ocotber I resume shooting my Supple Mama Video, FINALLY. This project has been forever in the making. I started working on this in 2000, I shit you not. End of October we’re recording Mama Songs, which won’t be too bad because the guy who owns the studio is very nice and helpful and my friends Tony and Melanie know all about the ins and outs of recording from their own projects so they are helping me a lot. In exchange I’m doing a website for each of them.

Oh yeah! also we’re putting out a few more books and still need submissions, so if your experience fits why not write about it and send it in. I have people asking me to give them more time so the new deadline is Oct. 29th. And I’ll be working on the MamaGathering, doing site work and planning and stuff. So far it’s not a lot of work but will be very soon as we scout for locations and get permits and stuff, all the work we have to do.

On my schedule & sleep: Remember me posting about my crazy-ass schedule? Another friend of mine pruned it and I can’t stand it, LOL. But a lot of the stuff I had time to do because I wasn’t sleeping but 4 hours out of every 24 so I filled the other 20 with lots of activity and work. My new goal is to sleep at least 7 hours out of every 24, preferably at night, and to spend my free time with loved ones and to relax more. I am comitted to only working 8 hours out of every 24 on biz and writing stuff, 10 maximum if pressed.

I also post on the MamaGathering Message Board, my Yahoo! group and also on my other blog so feel free to hit me up on any of those. If it’s private or whatever you can also email me: trula at MSPmedia dot net.

    Trula,
Thanks for stopping by and for the message. I finished graduate school about a year a go and have been living here in WA with my hubby. I have been also looking for a job with no success, at the moment, am volunteering at an environmental organization, while looking for something permanent. I sometimes think of going back to school and study something else, but i need a break. All the best with school! ~ Kpl
